PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure, which holds a card in its inserted position and prevents it from accidentally coming out, in an electric connector connecting a contact card provided with an integrated circuit. SOLUTION: A card is provided with a notched linear edge part, which serves as an orientating means for deciding the position of the card in a connector, in the vicinity of a front traverse directional edge. In the upper main wall 44 of a housing storing the inserted card, a boss 120 protruded at a level lower than that of the linear edge part and arranged on the inside face 45 is featured as a stopping part protruded in front of the linear edge part of the card when the card is in the inserted position, so that the card is prevented from coming off accidentally from a device 30. The boss 120 is retracted when the card passes through, as the upper main wall 44 is partially and slightly deformed elastically.
