PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture generation device and an information storage medium for preventing the deterioration of processing efficiency or the generation of any useless arithmetic processing outside a visual field leading to the increase of an access time or the number of times of an arithmetic operation, and for generating a picture with high quality with a little arithmetic load. SOLUTION: A picture generating device includes an operating part 10, a processing part 100, a display part 160, and an information storage medium 150. The processing part 100 includes a game arithmetic part 110, a compartment object information storing part 120, a three-dimensional arithmetic part 130, and a picture generating part 140. The compartment object information storing part 120 stores model information such as vertex information, mash information, and texture information for each compartment object. Also, an object obtained by dividing an object space into plural fan-shaped compartments, and modeling it by each compartment unit is obtained as the compartment object. The three-dimensional arithmetic part 130 decides the compartment object being the object of the three-dimensional arithmetic operation based on the direction of line of sight calculated by a line of sight direction calculating part 112, and operates a coordinate converting operation necessary for picture generation based on the model information of the compartment object to be processed. |
