PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the image quality by effectively preventing a developer from sticking on the base ground (no image formed part) on a photoreceptor. SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with a recovering roller 24 on the upstream side from the developing area in which a developing roller 21 and a photoreceptor drum 5 are opposed to each other (on the upstream side in the developer transporting direction of the developing roller 21). and the downstream side of a doctor blade 23. Then, the device is allowed to apply a voltage in polarity attracting toner charged in reverse polarity (negative polarity in this case), as the recovering roller 24. In such a manner, the toner charged in reverse polarity (positive polarity) is collected on the recovering roller 24, and the toner charged in reverse polarity is made not to reach the developing area. |
