1472729 Rug pads W BINDER 13 Aug 1975 [29 Aug 1974] 33710/75 Heading A4S A rug pad comprises sheeting 10 having protruding from it bristles 12 which are inclined in one direction relative to the surface of the sheeting. The side of the sheeting opposite the bristles has an adhesive layer 13 covered before use by a removable protective sheet, e.g. of paper. The sheeting is of textile material, e.g. a woven or knitted fabric, having thermoplastic fibres incorporated therein which protrude to form the bristles. Rug pads may be adhered to a floor 17 or to the underside of a rug 16 with the bristles of each pad extending in the opposite direction to that of the other pad, to prevent slipping of the rug. Two rug pads may be adhered to each other back-to-back, Fig. 4 (not shown), whereby the pads need not be attached to a floor or a rug between which they may be interposed. A rug pad may have bristles protruding from both sides of a single piece of sheeting. |
