PURPOSE:To check a card with a data base small in capacity by giving the title system three numbers of the times of updating the card, which are the latest number of times, the number of times at the time of the preceding batch updating, and the number of times at the time of the preceding but one batch updating and creating an ineffective card data base and an effective card data base by comparing these three numbers of the times. CONSTITUTION:Since an effective card is replaced with the latest updating circuit whenever the effective card is lost, as the number of the times of updating the effective card increases in the manner of four times five times six times, the personal number is changed in the manner of 'AAA4', 'AAA5', and 'AAA6'. While ineffective card data are extracted by comparing the latest number of the times of updating the card with the preceding number of the times of updating the card in each period of periods 31, 33, and 35, the ineffective card data are extracted by comparing the preceding number of the times of updating the card with the preceding but one number of the times of updating the card in a period 34. Thus, in the period 34, while both an old card updated 6 times and a new card issued for batch updating become effective in the checking of the effective card, it is decided that a lost card having an unexpired effective term is ineffective, and both the new card and the old card are recognized as effective cards in the checking of an ineffective card. |
