MANUFACTURE OF COMPOSITE PIEZOELECTRIC CERAMIC PLATE

PURPOSE:To obtain easily a composite piezoelectric ceramic plate by connecting the block of a piezoelectric ceramic polarized in the direction perpendicular to the surface to the block of a dielectric via an adhesive layer and by cutting them in the direction perpendicular to the surface. CONSTITUTION:To magnesium titanate or zirconate, or lead niobate based piezoelectric ceramic block 1 polarized in the direction perpendicular to the surface, dielectric block 2 made of a ceramic material of 3000 in specific dielectric constant is fixed by using adhesive 3 of two-liquid epoxy resin. Next, this composite piezoelectric ceramic is cut off in the junction direction by using a slicing machine and on both top and reverse sides, electrodes are vapor-deposited to obtain resonator 200 for detecting thickness slide vibration. Consequently, the plate can greately be miniaturized and mass-produced.
