PURPOSE:To measure ink film thickness by movably providing a metering roller in contact with an ink roller in the direction rectangular to the roller axis and detecting the movement quantity thereof. CONSTITUTION:Ink of an ink fountain 13 deposits on the outside circumference of an ink fountain roller 11 and is transferred to an ink ductor 15, then it goes through an ink distributing roller 18 and is transferred to a plate cylinder 22 through form rollers 20, 21 and coated to a plate surface 38. The ink by the image of the plate surface 38 is transferred to a blanket cylinder 27. Printing paper 29 is fed between the blanket cylinder 27 and impression cylinder 28, whereby it is printed on. The ink deposited on the form roller 21 enters between the same and the metering roller 24, thus changing the inter-axis distance between both rollers 21, 24. Hence, the ink film thickness may be measured by removably providing the meterin g roller 24 in the direction rectangular to the roller axis and detecting the inter-axis distance between the form roller 21 and metering roller 24. |
