Intruder resistant rotating rod lorry door locking mechanism - has frame bolted security unit covering rod hook and end with hook intersecting door gap (NL 21.11.79)

The security device for doors with a turning-rod locking system is esp. applicable to doors on motor trucks. A lock is attached to the framework (1) of the door (2). The hook (5) and end (6) of the rod (3) which intersects the door gap are coverable by a security piece, this in turn being immovably boltable on the frame by means of the lock. The security piece is pref. roughly U-shaped, with one end insertable in a frame-fixed closure cap while the other end has a hole for bolt insertion. This affords increased protection against forcible opening of the locking mechanism.
