The anchorage frame (1) is used in an automobile body repair workshop and adapts to provide horizontal or vertical surfaces for the fixing of appliances anchoring key body elements. A rectangular frame (1) has horizontal holes (2a, 2b) through the long members (1a, 1b) those holes providing for the fixing of appliances against a vertical face. A flanged adaptor plate (3) is bolted to the frame to provide the alternative anchorage, having vertical holes (6) through a horizontal deck plate, and having flange (4) holes (5) by which it is bolted to the frame. The adaptor plate may have substantial windows to reduce its weight.
