The present invention concerns a method for handling separation elements, in particular sheets of paper, designed to lie beneath or between moulded products, in particular products for the food industry, which are moulded in a moulding machine and then after moulding brought down to be stacked on a product receiver, in particular a conveyor belt, whereby the separation element is transferred via suitable transfer equipment from a storage arrangement to a position where the moulded product, as it drops, meets and takes the separation element down with it. This invention also covers equipment for implementing the method. Existing handling arrangements feed a new separation element forward to a holder during each moulding cycle, no matter whether or not a moulded product is fed out, whereby interruptions sooner or later will occur in the delivery of the separation elements. In addition, it has been necessary to stop the moulding machine at regular intervals to clean the separation- element holder by removing moulding material, since otherwise the holder would be blocked up. The abovementioned disadvantages of existing equipment are eliminated by the separation element being held over by the transfer machine until it is met by the moulded product and released from the transfer machine to accompany the moulded product in its journey down. <IMAGE> |
