PURPOSE:To record common paper, while making it possible to use a platen for a long time, by bringing the common paper, while correcting the ink surface, into contact with the platen which is formed with the ink layer and by forcing an exothermic element into contact with the back of the common paper. CONSTITUTION:An exothermic element assembly 12 is forced through a correcting roller 19 and common paper 10 into contact with a platen 1, and solid ink 5 is heated up to its melting point by a rod-shaped heating member. Thus, it is possible to record the common paper 10 by a small quantity of the heat from an exothermic element 13. By always heating and turning the platen 1 in the direction of arrow 6, moreover, the temperature of the ink 5 is kept uniform so that the stand-by time after the power supply before the recording start can be shortened. |
