PURPOSE:To guide the light from its source to a display side, while preventing any leak, so that the display side may be lit as bright as possible, by using such a structure as has a reflector of a semitransparent film below a liquid crystal display cell and as has a light guide plate arranged therebelow. CONSTITUTION:The lower polarizing plate 3 of a liquid crystal cell 1 is made integral with a reflector, which is made of a semitransparent film 3a such as half- mirror. There is arranged below the film 3 a light guide plate 13 which is made receptive of the light from its source 12 and which has its lower side formed with such a recess 13c as receives the wiring portions of an LSI tip 8, a boosting capacitor and a battery recriving spring 14 and a portion of the watch parts such as a circuit sealing frame 10. According to such structure, all the light from the source 12 enters the guide plate 13 and illuminates a liquid crystal cell 4 through the lower polarizing plate 3. |
