The vehicle wheel is formed by flow-turning of a blank. To form a ring-shaped chamber (14,15) to accommodate a tire bead, a ring-shaped support rail (18,19) is separated from a radial section of the blank, molded in a direction cylindrical to the axis of the wheel, and subsequently a ring-shaped rim bead (20,21) is formed by flow-turning. The chamber is formed between support rail and rim bead. A side edge section (22,23) of the rim bead is drawn-in radially to form an undercut.
