A box for storing microfilms has a rectangular base with double sided walls. The microfilms are stacked one upon another with one end supported by a crossbar which passes through the inner side walls. The microfilms are separated at the outer end of the box by U shaped pieces of wire with hooks which clip around the crossbar in the gap between inner and outer walls. The required microfilm is removed from the box by lifting the appropriate tag until the wire immediately above is trapped in notches in slots in the inner wall.
