A chassis for an electronic appts. having heat generating circuit components attached to heat exchangers along its top and bottom walls. Each heat exchanger includes a base from which parallel fingers project toward a plane passing horizontally through the centre of the chassis, the various exchangers having fingers of differing lengths to define an air passage of varying effective cross-sectional area, promoting air turbulence for increased cooling. The heat exchangers at the entrace to the air passage are aluminium, while those at the exit where the cooling air is warmest are copper.
