PURPOSE:To prepare an anti-tumor substance considerably effective to MH134 tumor, and effective to nodular tumor even by peritoneal infusion, by heating Streptococcus eximilis in a salt solution. CONSTITUTION:Cells of Streptococcus eximilis, e.g. Streptococcus eximilis ATCC21597 (FERM-P No. 4509), are dispersed in a salt solution, e.g. in BBM (liquid obtained by dissolving maltose, KH2PO4, and MgSO4.7H2O in distilled water, and adjusting the pH to 6.8-7.0 with NaOH), containing penicillin (>=25000 units, pref. 26000-60000 units/ml) kept at 30-38 deg.C for >=10 min., pref. 10-30 min., and heated at 40-50 deg.C for 20-40 min. Or the cells are sunspended in BBM, physiological salt solution, etc., and heat-treated at 65-100 deg.C for 5-30 min. |
