A homogeneous suspension of a destroyed clumping factor positive microorganism in a buffered aqueous solution having a pH value of 7.0 to 7.7 and a content of 3 to 50 % of at least one polyhydric alcohol soluble therein, its manufacture and its use as a reagent for the determination of fibrinogen and for fibrin cleavage products.
