<p>Alternate support for a drawing die is made of hard metal or diamond and is supported in a swinging manner on a shoulder portion formed in the centre bore of the support. The support is clamped by a hollow ring which engages in a groove in the support and a circumferential groove on the die. The output side of the die with the output funnel is convex and in order to increase wear resistance the inner faces are boroned. Pref. the support is made of a heat resistant plastics. An automatic balance is obtd. between a not fully perpendicular die relative to the drawing direction, thus improving the quality of the wire product by eliminating twist effects. The die itself is also free of one sided wear and tear, and the wire product also has a constant dia.</p> |
