The suction equipment is for a pneumatic separator and/or conveyor handling sheets in a printing press of folding machine. One or more suction nozzles, supplied with vacuum via a hollow piston rod, are thrust downwards by the piston against spring action into the separation position and then lifted by the spring into the transport position. After release of the vacuum the spring brings the nozzle into a still higher rest position. Vacuum is supplied to the underside of the piston (3) independently of the nozzle (5).
