The mixt. coming from the refinery contg. water, oil, liq. oil-base prods. and solid residue materials is collected and ducted to the initial stage of a multi-stage contacting plant contg. a rotor with a number of discs arranged to create chambers which communicate with each other at the bottom. Through piping kerosene is added from the refinery to the mixt. in the contacting plant. The kerosene contg. now oil and oil base fractions leaves the contacting plant via piping and after addition of crude oil through piping is returned to the refinery. The watery fraction is drained via piping and after being treated in a processing unit the solid fraction is discharged through pipeing. The clean water is returned for re-use to the refinery or discharged into the environment.
