<p>The servo driven invalid chair is fitted with a servo steering control for the trailing wheels with the amount of servo force modulated as the chair speed increases to ensure a stable control. The modulation is via a simple voltage control with a transistorised circuit. The system provides for large servo forces at low speeds for maximum steering contro in confined spaces, while the lower steering forces at higher speeds prevent the chair from changing direction too suddenly and tipping over.</p> |
