The support lining, esp. suitable for deep shafts in unstable terrain with water courses, comprises cylinders coaxially inside each other, with radial interval, with soft asphalt or similar joint filling permitting relative movement. The outer cylinder (A), assembled from one or more rings (3, 3a, 3b) is water-permeable and pressure-resistant in the face of rock pressure, but slightly deformable radially. The inner cylinder (B) is watertight, and made up from an outer watertight steel sheath (8) with reinforced-concrete ring column (9) sliding inside it. The filler (C), sited in the ring gap (7) and evenly loading the inner cylinder, is of a density only slightly exceeding that of water. This enables shafts sunk by the freezing process in such terrain to be securely provided down to 600 m and more, with improved adaptation to rock deformations.
|
