<p>The body shields, especially for sports players, consists of a cushion containing tubular compartments filled with air. The compartments are interconnected, with seams in the connecting parts of the compartments. The seams are positioned between different layers of the compartment material, and are perforated. Valve throttle openings at the ends of the tubular compartments have flaps along their edge. The material is tear-resistant and expands apart from near the seams. Pockets on the cushioning can be used for shields. When used for protecting the legs and arms, an ankle and elbow protection is incorporated. Alternatively, the shield can be used for the head, hands, etc.</p> |
