发明名称 CONTINUOUS ROLLING METHOD FOR RODDHOT STEEL MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To make unnecessary the cooling and reheating of a great part of steel materials, and to make possible the excellent energy saving, by detecting the surface flow of the red-hot material under the hot condition, and by removing the steel material including the harmful flaw out of the line, in case of the continuous rolling of the red-hot steel material. CONSTITUTION:The ingot is heated in the soaking pit up to the specified temperature, and is bloomed; after that, the flaw of the ingot is removed by the hot scarfer, depending on the scarfing depth being decided according to the result of the flaw test by the well-known flaw tester. If the flaw is so significant as to exceed the maximum capable scrfing depth of the hot scarfer, the ingot is sheared if necessary, and is tested by the flaw tester; hereupon, the ingot still including the harmful residual flaw is removed out of the line, and is treated by the conventional method; thereby, a great part of slabs (about 90%) can be rolled into the product without nesessity of the cooling and reheating process, so that the cooling for only the testing purpose like as the conventional method becomes unnecessary, and the vast heat energy can be saved.
