<p>The hydraulic system has a pressure accumulator connected to it. Between the system (10-12) and the accumulator (26) is a gas-diffusion barrier (14). This consists of a vessel (15) divided into the chambers (21, 22) by a movable partition (18) impermeable to gas. One chamber (21) is connected to the fluid chamber (29) of the accumulator, and the other to the hydraulic system. The vessel can be cylindrical, the partition being a piston of rigid material, forming a sliding seal in the cylinder. The volume of each chamber (21, 22) can be roughly equal to the usable volume of the accumulator fluid chamber.</p> |
