PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching apparatus, in which problems of alignment of a die, misalignment of the die, and shortening of the life of the die are solved without lowering workability at the time of assembly. SOLUTION: A punching apparatus for punching a card comprises: a movable iron core to which a punch pin is fixed; and a fixed iron core having a punch pin guiding portion for guiding the punch pin; and an exiting coil for forming a magnetic path between the movable iron core and the fixed iron core to drive the punch pin. The fixed iron core is provided with a groove thorough which the card passes, so that the punch pin guiding portion partitioned by the groove from a face on which the card passes are integrally formed and the die thorough which the punch pin passes is disposed on the face on which the card passes.
