A revolution counting measurement generator produces a series of pulses proportional to the revolution rate as well as an analogue voltage proportional to the revolution rate. It achieves accuracy of output with the pulsed signal and can drive a rotating coil indicator directly using the analogue signal as required. The analogue and pulse generators are coupled together and driven synchronously by a shaft. They may be suitable for use with standard shafts and bearings conforming to DIN 42 950.
