PURPOSE:To shorten the period of scanning of key switches and assure a desired coupler effect, by nullifying a delayed signal which is produced in a prescribed time slot. CONSTITUTION:The key switches 43-45 corresponding to a plurality of keys are sequentially scanned at a prescribed speed so that a time-division multiplex signal S showing the depression of the key is generated at 1 in a time slot TS corresponding to the key within each scanning period. Corresponding wave form signals are generated at 2 in a manner of time division synchronously with the scanning of the key switches. A musical sound signal is produced from the output signals of musical sound generation circuits 3-5, each of which consists of a coupler control circuit which delays the signal S by a prescribed time and a circuit which multiplies the output of the coupler control circuit by the siangl S. The signal, which is delayed by the coupler control circuit and picked out in the prescribed time slot TS within each scanning period, is nullified. |
