PURPOSE:To provide continuous, automatic work supply positively and safely by a smaller gripper consisting of a chuck being fixed to a position which faces to a loading-unloading device or a machining unit. A work is held by nipping arms. CONSTITUTION:A gripper 22 is assembled to one end of a piston rod 4 to nip a work 23. To the gripper 22, two chucks 27 are installed each of which faces to a loading-unloading device 25 and a machining unit 26 respectively. In the chucks 27, rotational motion of two cranks 32 swings two cams 33 to hold works 23 by four nipping arms 37 in accordance with movement of two linking rods 39. Then the rod 4 proceeds to disengage the linking rods 39 from the cranks 32, and the chucks 27 together with the rod 4 rotate to the position in front of the device 25 or the unit 26 before the arms 37 release the works 23. Consequently, continuous, automatic loading and unloading of the works 23 is achieved. |
