The terminal block has an insulating case with holes for the wires and a leaf spring bent at both ends and serving as the springly contact. When at rest it presses the wire to a second contact. Two operating elements move the springy contact's bent ends. The second contact has a channel shaped contact surface with a flat surface in the first contact area. Operating elements are bent levers with different lengths of arms, with the shorter arm provided with a projection acting on the springy contact ends. The longer lever arm is, in its rest position, at a right angle to the second contact crest.
