The washing bag has a closing device for the top end, comprising a string passed round this end and through the sack wall, and with a lug or disc at each end. One of these passes through the single sack wall opening in the inside, while the other is wound round the sack, the lug or disc being inserted underneath, the part of the string emerging from the sack wall opening. The string (9) is hoseshaped, and secured at one or both ends by a blind rivet in a hole in the lug (12) or disc. This hole can have a small diameter central cylindrical portion between two funnel shaped parts.
