Tangential tone arm for vertical operation - has two articulated parts, one guiding scanning system and another used for flexible mounting

The tangential tone arm is intended to provide high protection for the record disc together with excellent reproduction quality. It is also suitable for record discs operated in a vertical inserting system. The tone arm is articulated in two functionally separated parts. A first short arm provides the height setting of the scanning system. The other part forms a bearing, in which the short tone arm is suspended and which also permits a defined tangential track angular deviation. Opposite the bearing block part is mounted a counterweight for balancing the short tone arm with the scanning head. The tangential following of the tone arm is provided by the disc groove under convential control.
