A pantiliner for use with thong underwear is disclosed. The pantiliner comprises an absorbent core and a backsheet underlying the absorbent core. The pantiliner includes anterior portion (3) having a maximum width, a posterior portion adjacent a posterior end (6) of the pantiliner, and a midsection connecting the anterior and posterior portions. The pantiliner includes a pair of flaps (9) extending from each side of the posterior portion of the pantiliner, at least one of said flaps being adjacent to the posterior end (6) of the pantiliner.
