SUBMERGED ARC WELDING FLUX FOR HEAT-RESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL WITH HIGH STRENGTH

PURPOSE: A submerged arc welding flux for overlay welding or butt welding of heat-resistant stainless steel is provided, which has no disadvantage that inclusions are incorporated, has excellent shape and high resistance against surface oxidation. CONSTITUTION: The submerged arc welding flux comprises SiO2 13 to 20 wt.%, CaF2 16 to 21.5 wt.%, MgO 38.5 to 48 wt.%, Al2O3 16 to 22 wt.% and (Na2O+K2O+MnO+FeO) 0.5 to 6.0 wt.%, wherein not less than 90 % of flux particle in the total flux particle is in the range of 0.3 to 1.0 mm.
