PURPOSE: An apparatus for marking front and rear parts of wire rod coil is provided to remove defective part of the front and rear parts of wire rod coil and automatically perform a series of operations for marking the defective part removed part so that the marked parts are easily discriminated, and marking is performed irrespective of specification. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for marking front and rear parts of wire rod coil is characterized in that bodies are mounted on one side of movable cutting blade and fixed cutting blade of a wire rod defective part removing unit, semispherical paint emitting plates(351,352,353) made of a sponge material capable of emitting paint are fixed to opposite end parts of the bodies in a convex multilayer by a bolt member(354), an elastic medium(360) made of a sponge material a part contacted with the paint emitting plate(353) of which is covered with protuberances is installed in a space formed by the innermost paint emitting plate(353), and the elastic medium(360) and paint emitting plate(353) are connected to a paint storage tank through a paint supply pipe so that the front and rear parts of coil type wire rod are simultaneously cut and marked by paint automatically by opening solenoid valve whenever making operation is performed, thereby supplying a proper amount of paint transferred by high pressure air from the paint storage tank to the elastic medium(360) and paint emitting plate(353).
