PURPOSE: A semiconductor laser device is provided to keep any extra light such as a return light from entering an optical input portion of a photo detector in a front monitor CONSTITUTION: A first light source(11) of the optical head(10) emits a semiconductor laser light(51). The laser light(51) emitted from the first light source(11) travels through a hologram component(12) and a cube shaped beam splitter(13), and then passes through a collimator lens(14). The semiconductor laser component emitting the laser light is provided with a photo detector for an optical monitor in front of the laser component to catch a variation of the laser light output in order to stabilize the output thereof. The variation is fed back to a laser power supply(71) through an APC circuit(70) connected to the photo detector so as to control the laser light output. A second light source(21) emits a semiconductor laser light. A laser light(52) emitted from the second light source(21) travels through a hologram component(22) and the cube shaped beam splitter(13), and then passes through the collimator lens(14). The second light source(21) also comprises an APC circuit.
