PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent annihilation delay of +5 V after annihilation of +5 V in the case of both feeding +5 V from a printer and +5 VS from a scanner to an IPU by connecting an optional IPU and the scanner to the printer. SOLUTION: A composite functional duplicating machine is equipped with the printer 1 having a source apparatus 13 for generating +24 V and +5 V and a source switch 16; a scanner 2 having a source apparatus 23 for generating +5 VS and a source relay 24 which is closed by the +24 V; and an IPU 3 which has a first line 17 for receiving +5 V of the printer, a second line 18 for receiving +5 V of the scanner and a switch 50 for opening and closing between +5 VS of the scanner and the second line 18 according to existence of +5 V on the first line 17 and processes image data from the scanner to the printer by coexistence of both +17 V of the first line 17 and +5 VS of the second line 18, and can attach the scanner after the printer.
