Seal for end of underground power cable - stops moisture by using elastic cylinder with flange pairs, holes, clamping bolts and nuts

The sealing device is for the ends of underground cable pipes which will prevent the penetration of water or moisture. A sealing material is introduced between a cable and the end of the cable pipe. The cable will be able to shift relative to the pipe with the minimum of friction. The seal consists of an elastic cylinder (5) with an axial hole for the cable. It has a pair of flanges 1, 9) and holes through the flanges. There are a number of bolts (3) with tightening nuts (14) which will cause the flanges to compress the cylinder in the axial direction.
