PURPOSE:To correctly and automatically correct the picture stroke, by performing scanning with the observation window consisting of MXN mesh selected corresponding to the width of the picture stroke and compensating the notch or scratch for a part of the picture stroke. CONSTITUTION:When the picture to be processed is sectioned into mesh and the picture video signal corresponding to the mesh points of black and white is picked up, first the processed picture is scanned with one or a plurality of observation windows consisting of MXN mesh. Further, taking an example of checking for 1-5 direction among four directinal picture stroke, it is shown in Fig. B. Thatis, on the condition that the picture stroke(hatched portion) is discontinuous and the non-picture stroke region(dotted lines) is in existence at the both sides of the discontinuous picture stroke, in excess of a given continuous length, the discontinuous part of the picture stroke (4 to 8 of F) is changed into the picture stroke region. |
