<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a low-cost and crosstalk-free matrix liquid crystal display unit which is driven dynamically by connecting the switching transistor composed of the poly-crystal silicone or the like directly to each picture element. CONSTITUTION:Capacitors 302a, 302b and so on are connected in parallel to liquid crystal display substances 303a, 303b and so on which are become the picture elements, and then connected to scan signal input y1, y2 and so on as well as to driving signal input x1, x2 and so on via switching transistors 301a, 301b and so on. Thus, the transistors except for the picture elements receiving application of both the scan and driving input are turned off, and accordingly no half-tone is caused to the ambient picture elements. And the transistor comprising drain 403, source 404, gate insulator 405, gate electrode 406, drain electrode 407 and protective film 408 is formed on insulator substrate 411 in the form of the thin film of poly-crystal silicon, amorphous silicon or the like and then connected to driving electrode 409 of the picture element.</p> |
