<p>Moulded rubber or plastics shoe soles incorporate a series of hollow chambers sepd. by flexible webs inclined forwards. Progressive compression of the sole from the heel forwards during walking pumps air drawn through a duct at the rear of the shoe and exhausted by ducts up the sides of the shoe uppers. For effective cooling and ventilation of sports shoes for athletics training, etc. The soles may be moulded from synthetic rubber, PVC, polyethylene, etc. The uppers are pref. lined with an open cell latex foam to dissipate the air within the shoe. The design inhibits ingress of dust or mud from underfoot.</p> |
