<p>Photopolymerisable material for use in printing inks, coatings and adhesives consists of (I) an ethylenically unsatd. monomer, and (II) an aromatic cpd. or an aromatic polymer with polyhalo-acyl side chains as photopolymsn. initiator. Gives dry, polymerised materials with a good flexibility abrasion and chemical resistance, and receptivity for printing inks, so that the material is esp. useful for presensitised lithographic printing plates and photoresists. The ratio of the amount of I:II is pref 50-99:1-50, esp. 94-99:1-6. II is pref. poly(trichloroacetyl)- alpha-methylstyrene), poly(trichloroacetylstyrene), poly(trichloroacetylbenzyl), bis-(trichloroacetyl)- mesitylene, or p-(diphenyl)-2,2,2-trichloroacetophenone.</p> |
