Capping head for bottles - has threading and crimping rollers operated by cam controlled arm between active and inactive positions

The capping head comprises a roller which forms a thread in the already-applied cap and a crimping roller which turns its lower edge under. These rollers are mounted on arms which are radially displaceable into an active position by a cam. This operation is automatically carried out as the head descends. The roller arms are pivoted and their angular movements are effected by a spring-loaded arm on the same pivot. A follower is used with the cam, this also being spring-loaded to disengage the rollers.
