<p>The profile is made of a thermoplastic cpd, incorporating a heat sensitive cross linking agent and the profile features a series of perforations or vents. Esp. for making or jointing thin wall sheathing made of radiation crosslinked thermoplastics for sealing underground conduit or ducting. Suitable for annular and/or longitudinal seam welds on sheating of >=30 cm dia. made from e.g. 0.15-0.3 cm thick film. The vents allow the assembly to degas during consolidation, thus preventing local weakening of the weld. Provides sufficient strength and uniformity for use on heat shrink thermosetting sheating.</p> |
