A beam is used for positioning across the rockface of the propped area, on the device for anchoring and adjusting machines working in seams which are falling in and steeply sloped, with ends linked to an assembly comprising floor sill and caps splayed with hydraulic props, incorporating a lengthways adjusting assembly with splayed anchoring assembly, with hydraulic cylinders, and conveyor on a hinged hanger. Use is made of hinge joints (9), connecting the beam (11) to the anchoring assemblies. Hinges may be arranged parallel to the beam, with holders (10) in them incorporating through-passages matching beam cross-section, and with bolts (12) inserted in oval apertures (13) and passing through the opening in the beam. This is suitable for installation where compact-height suspension of the conveyor's drive assembly is demanded.
