Instant photographic film with two image carriers - at different electrical potentials to produce disruptive puncture and visible change under effect of radiation

A method of forming an instant photographic image is as follows. The redn. in the dielectric strength of the image carrier which occurs at the locations where the radiation is absorbed is utilised to cause local electric disruptive puncture through the image carrier material; for this purpose two electrically insulated image carrier layers (2, 3) are used, at different electrical potentials. This electrical disruptive puncture produces a visible local change in at least one of the image carrier layers or an adjacent layer as a function of the intensity of the incident radiation. Used to obtain an instant image without any chemical development process. The process can be used with either X-rays or visible light.
