Mobile bark stripper for large tree trunks - has road lorry chassis, metal plate on ring and integral bark ejector

The travelling bark-stripping machine has a tool assembly tiltable about a horizontal axis and swivelling about a vertical axis. The machine has a series of elastically resiliently mounted centering and forwarding rollers and a revolving ring of paring blades. The bark discharge unit has a blower and conveyor to move the trunk against the assembly. The chassis consists of a motor truck (12), able to travel independently on the road. The intermediate frame (6) is in the form of a metal plate (14) sited on the revolving ring mounting (8). The bark-ejecting device (56-60) is a constituent component of the bark-stripping assembly.
