A waste gas (flue gas) purificn. system for industrial furnaces utilises the heat of the gas for preheating furnace air. The hot waste gas is reduced in speed through a distributor tower or distributor labyrinth before it enters the filters. Cold air enters the same tower or labyrinth and is heated by thermal exchange, to leave through a damper valve before entering the furnace. the filtering of the hot gases is carried out by a series of withdrawable filters alternating with blowers. Used in partic. for comparatively small plants. The plant is simple and reliable in operation and is inexpensive.
