PURPOSE:To prevent an original from being left below a pressure plate after a copying operation by detecting the release of the original holding pressure plate thereby to control the propriety of the power supply and interruption to a copier. CONSTITUTION:So long as a pressure plate is not released to generate pressure plate detecting signal so as to take out an original after the copying operation, a solenoid 4 is not deenergized so that a cover 7 made coactive with the solenoid 4 is held under the condition having an aperture 3 closed. As a result, a main switch 1 cannot be operated to interrupt the power supply to the copier. Thus, it is possible to prevent the original from being left below the pressure plate without fail after the copying operation. |
