PURPOSE:The bulk density is regulated every when fiber materials are impregnated with a resin, compressed, and the resin is cured, thus producing title composite material suitably used for speaker cone, floors of aircrafts because of its low density and flexural rigidity. CONSTITUTION:A fiber material as carbon fiber is compressed with a load of 5Kg/cm<2>, impregnated with a resin so that the short-fiber material has a bulk density of rho1 satisfying equation I (rhoF is the density of fiber) when compressed with a pressure of 0.1 Kg/cm<2>. Then, the fiber material is compressed so that the density rho2 satisfies equation II. Further, the compression is reduced so that the bulk density of the fiber material rho3 satisfies equation III when the resin viscosity is less than 50,000 poise and the resin is cured. EFFECT:Said composite material also is useful as building panels because of its high heat-insulating and moisture-proofing properties. |
